What will the apprentice be doing?

As an apprentice you will learn to:

Enable customers to lead as active and independent lives as possible by providing holistic and personal care.
Promote choice to clients in their daily living by providing care.
Comply with CQC fundamental standards and Anchors policies and procedures at all times.
Prioritise tasks as appropriate.
Escalate concerns/issues as appropriate.
Record accurate and legible documentation.
Deliver a care plan.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship:

  • Achieve the Level 2 Diploma in Care
  • Complete the 15 standards as set out in the Care Certificate
  • Achieve Level 1 Functional Skills maths and English
  • On the job training

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
