What will the apprentice be doing?

You will help with administering business Membership, updating databases, liaising with businesses, answering queries, providing reception/post duties, assisting with digital marketing, updating website, scheduling and writing social media posts and research. 

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Answering phone calls, taking messages, attending meetings, providing refreshments, creating agendas, taking minutes, ordering office stationery
  • Communicating with clients and building positive relationships with them
  • Keeping well-organised files and records of business activity
  • Keeping computer databases up to date
  • Assisting the Digital Marketing Officer with website content
  • Creating and scheduling social media posts
  • Other administrative/digital duties as may be required


What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will be working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship and will be supported by your employer and college assessor throughout your apprenticeship journey. 

Together with your assessor, you will compile a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates the required knowledge, skills and behaviours. Training and assessment will be predominantly work-based with further opportunities to attend workshops at Brockenhurst College. 

The role will enable you to develop a set of highly-transferable skills to help you progress at work. It will give you a firm grounding in business operations. 


What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Possibility of permanent role on completion of Apprenticeship.
