What will the apprentice be doing?

Working closely with other members of the Sales and Pre-Engineering Team to support the department. Working with the team will increase your knowledge, develop your skills, and gain some valuable experience.

Responsibilities will include:
•Project and manufacturing Costings
•Process systems development (PFDs and PIDs)
•Timeline development (Microsoft Project)
•Equipment database & schedules
•Tender writing
•Marketing and Sales functions
•AutoCAD, Database
•Microsoft Project, Excel, Word

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The succesful candidate will be required to attend day release to Learning Unlimited Derby on a weekly basis.

Qualifications include:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Portfolio of Evidence
  • Gateway preparation and End Point Assessment

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Progression onto higher education and completion of the HNC.
