What will the apprentice be doing?
1. You will go to the academy 1 day a week
2. Training in salon at least twice a week
3. We will be teaching you to Look after reception duties ( clients, bookings and telephone etc )
4. We work as a team, so you will need to shampoo, keep salon tidy and clean, make refreshments for clients, and learn from our stylists all aspects of hairdressing.
5. When you have done all duties work on your head block, as much as you can.
6.also bring in models to get experience.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The qualification is a hairdressing level 2/3 standards.
You will have your training in the salon as HaHa our training provider uses our salon to train you
A very small group so you get plenty of 1 to 1 with your teacher.
At the end of your apprenticeship, you have an end of point assessment which entails 6 hours of on the floor hairdressing. Which is great because by this time you will have confidence and able to do what is needed. (Re-style, layerd cut, colour, semi, hair up, set, blowdry and finish.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After the apprenticeship has finished, and you have passed your end of point assessment, you will hopefully be taken on by your salon, and you would become a junior stylist still learning but growing a clientel. You also can then work towards your level 3.
