What will the apprentice be doing?

Professional training will be provided to fulfill your job role, which will include:

  • Transmit customs entries, export & import
  • Classify commodities
  • Liaise directly with customers.
  • Arrange shipments for All modes of transport (air, sea, courier , road)
  • Recognise international terms of trading (INCOTERMS).
  • Quoting
  • Monitoring shipments
  • Creating & Maintaining job files

Other Responsibilities / Duties:

General office duties, for example:-

  • Opening and distribution of incoming Post / Mail
  • Franking outgoing Post / Mail  
  • Ordering stationery
  • Filing

Potential for a permanent position upon successful completion. You could also go onto further training, such as undertaking a Team Leader/Supervisor qualfication.
