What will the apprentice be doing?
As a Customer Services Advisor within our growing team, you will play a key role in the success of an expanding local business, ensuring the office runs like clockwork and our customers are always happy. Providing exceptional service, you will handle enquiries, provide insurance quotations and undertake insurance transactions and general sales tasks with a ‘can-do’ proactive attitude. You will also maximise inbound sales opportunities, cross selling to existing clients and assisting with renewal retention.

The first 3 months of anyone’s role within our agency is completing the inhouse NFU Mutual training programme – leaning the products, sales and customer services skills. This starts with Motor and Personal insurances which can take 3 – 6 months, and then moves on to High net worth Bespoke Insurance and Commercial within 12 – 24 months.
Throughout training, the apprentice will be expected to take customer calls, process new quotes and changes to existing customer policies. Review customer renewals alongside general administrative tasks such as post, renewal document preparation.
The apprentice will have opportunity to shadow senior team members out at customer premises doing either new business quotes or renewal reviews.
Duite to include:
- Complete NFU Mutual training programme
- Work with Babington to complete the Insurance Practitioner Level 3 qualification
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Handle incoming telephone enquiries for new quotes and process changes to existing customer policies
- Make outbound calls to customer who wish to obtain insurance quotes
- Identify and initiate cross-selling opportunities and activities to new and existing customers.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
This role would progress onto a customer facing role visiting customers at their homes and business premises dealing with personal, high net worth and commercial insurances. There are other roles that individuals could progress into such as agency management, compliance management or to become a business partner (Insurance Agent)
