What will the apprentice be doing?

Typical day to day duties will include:

  • Setting up various machines
  • Reading production drawings 
  • Working from approved samples
  • Carrying out inspection tests
  • Checking for and reporting any defects
  • Adhering to Health and Safety procedures
  • General housekeeping duties

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful apprentice will be required to attend college, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG, one day per week for the durating of this apprenticeship (15 months) in order to achieve a Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship qualification, which includes:

Level 2 NVQ in Engineering Operations
Employment Rights and Responsibilities
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
