What will the apprentice be doing?
At Stowmarket Town Council our aim is to serve the people of Stowmarket. There is an opportunity for an administration apprentice to join our team. We are seeking an Apprentice Business Administrator to join the Corporate Support Team. The Corporate Support Team interacts with all areas of the organisation. Reporting to the Accounting and Finance Officer, this is a fantastic opportunity for a junior administrator to work in a varied role providing general Finance and administrative support for the Corporate Support and Accounting functions within the Council. There will be opportunities to use new systems and processes. The role includes, but is not limited to:
• Raising Customer Invoices. Credit Control. Reconciling Sales Accounts.
• Downloading Supplier invoices. Inputting Invoices. Reconciling Accounts
• Filing, photocopying, scanning documents and general administration duties
• Updating Policies and Procedures as directed.
• Updating the various computer programmes used by the Team.
• Provide back up support to other teams when required.
• General administrative support for Officers and to undertake projects as required.
• Assisting in the delivery of the Induction programme and personnel training to new starters.
