What you will do in your working day

Provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to Practice Clinicians. The role will also require working in other areas of the practice such as reception, dealing with patient queries, answering the phone, taking payments and booking appointments.

The training you will be getting

This qualification is a level 3 advanced apprenticeship accredited by City & Guilds and is delivered nationwide through blended interactive E-Learning, enabling learners to access the course from anywhere in the UK. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

With experience you may be able to move into jobs like team manager, team leader or dental practice manager.

With further training you could become a dental therapist, helping a dentist carry out the more routine dentistry work. You could also become a dental hygienist, helping people to look after their teeth and gums.

You might decide to train as an orthodontic therapist helping dentists to improve the look and position of a patient's teeth.

All treatment is fully explained and we encourage you to ask as many questions as you need to. Your dental treatment can be carried out as quickly or slowly as you like. We appreciate pain management must be a high priority in our services. We always use a gel or spray to numb the gum prior to any injections and all our injections are pre-warmed to body temperature with a special machine so that you really don’t feel the pain. We try our utmost to make sure you are pain free. We can also discuss I.V. sedation if needed. Our administration team are dedicated to making you feel at ease when booking appointments, organising payment arrangements and processing insurance. We accept all types of insurance provider, such as SimplyHealth, AXA PPP, NDP (National Dental Plan), Cigna, Boots, Tesco, April UK, Aviva, CS Healthcare, HSA, Health-On-Line, WPA Health Insurance and Saga. Our Treatment Co-ordinator will complete any insurance forms required. On your instruction, our Corporate Care Co-ordinator can discuss claims with the insurer on your behalf.
