The purpose of this role is to perform Accounts Assistant duties across multiple companies to ensure accurate and efficient Financial reporting. The role will require that varied tasks are carried out, from general bookkeeping to assisting customers, suppliers and colleagues with queries.

What will the apprentice be doing?

• Working on the sales ledger and dealing with customer queries
• Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
• Sending and reconciling partner commission statements
• Posting of credit card transactions
• Credit Control duties
• Prepayment and Accrual assistance
• Purchase ledger duties 
• Analytical reporting as and when requested

Accounts/Finance Assistant Level 2

As with all Apprenticeships, most of the training will be with the employer on-the-job
The apprentice will also attend College in Bournemouth one day a week throughout

Understanding how accounting systems and processes allow businesses to keep track of all types of financial transactions and the differences between Financial and Management Accounting
Bookkeeping: understanding basic accountancy concepts and double entry bookkeeping, controls and cost recording systems
Business knowledge: learning elements of commercial law that may have an impact when working in accountancy, such as contracts, data protection and Anti Money Laundering
Communication: learning to deal effectively with stakeholders using appropriate communication methods to deliver accurate and timely results
