What will the apprentice be doing?
- Check all materials are fit for use & are to the correct specification before use; is able to identify materials or components built by other departments that are unfit for use or to incorrect specification
- Check all tooling is damage free & fit for use, e.g. safety features are all working, adhering to instructions given in OPLs and SWIs
- Communicateany errors or issues which could have an effect on production to the Supervisor immediately
- Work with team colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times.
- Ensure all appropriate PPE is worn at all times when working at height and assist with housekeeping
- Undertake waste management duties, ensuring all recycling is processed efficiently, operating machinery where appropriate in a safe manner.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 2 Site Carptenry & Joinery Apprenticeship
- Successful candidate will recieve training at the employers location and also attend East Riding College once a week
