What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Check all materials are fit for use & are to the correct specification before use; is able to identify materials or components built by other departments that are unfit for use or to incorrect specification
  • Check all tooling is damage free & fit for use, e.g. safety features are all working, adhering to instructions given in OPLs and SWIs
  • Communicateany errors or issues which could have an effect on production to the Supervisor immediately
  • Work with team colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times.
  • Ensure all appropriate PPE is worn at all times when working at height and assist with housekeeping
  • Undertake waste management duties, ensuring all recycling is processed efficiently, operating machinery where appropriate in a safe manner.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 2 Site Carptenry & Joinery Apprenticeship
  • Successful candidate will recieve training at the employers location and also attend East Riding College once a week

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Level 2 qualification will allow for progression onto Level 3 and increase chance of future job prospects..
