What will the apprentice be doing?
As an apprentice you will learn about the company and how we manufacture. The candidate will be working in a workshop environment with tools, equipment and materials to manufacture temperature measurement devices. Working with a former apprentice and now Production Supervisor you will develop key skills to grow within Peak Sensors. Full-training will be provided for you to become an integral part of the team.

Responsibilities:
- Manufacture of temperature sensors
- Assembling and testing of temperature sensors
- Soldering/welding of metal work
- Reviewing and understanding works processes/technical documentation
- Enthusiasm for this type of role, excellent time-keeping and reliability
- Packing products for despatch
- Good house-keeping
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be expected to work towards the Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.
As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment, you may be required to complete maths and English Functional Skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion you will be awarded additional certificates of recognition for these qualifications.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
