What will the apprentice be doing?

To prepare and deliver food to the standards set by your Head Chef and Sous Chef, to contribute towards a great working environment by bringing a positive attitude to work with you.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

All of your training will be completed within the workplace, You will be working towards the Level 3 Chef De Partie apprenticeship.

Training will all be delivered within the workplace, with a trainer visiting you on a 4-6 week basis. 

You will have the opportunity to work towards your Functional Skills in Maths and English if you do not have the GCSEs or equivalent

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential Career Pathway: CDP > Jnr Sous > Sous Chef > Head Chef

A natural progression route would be a Level 4 Hospitality Manager Apprenticeship depending on the chosen job path and if the current role supports the learning.

A Level 2 in Food Hygiene is preferred but not essential as full training will be given. More than skills and experience, we are looking for someone who is a correct culture fit within the team. We are looking for someone who asks questions, is a quick learner, someone who can keep up with the fast paced environment. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can grow with us, and someone who cares about the work they do and wants to do their best work.

Our goal is to add even more chapters to the Maray story nationally, creating opportunities for everyone in the company who wants to progress in their careers in hospitality.
