We are looking to offer excellent skills and training on everything relating to afro Caribbean hair and beauty: All apprentices must: Be 16 years and above, Work a minimum of 16 hours per week, preferably 30 hours. Be paid a minimum of £4.81 per hour. Have lived in the UK for the last 3 years.

What will the apprentice be doing?

We expect an apprentice to carry all tasks and techniques relating to Hair training. On an average day or week, we expect candidates to perform routine tasks like: hair relaxing, blow drying, colouring, braiding, Cornrows, trimming and cutting etc...

We expect candidates to perform all tasks an techniques in Beauty. On a typical day or week we expect them to perform routine tasks like: make up, nail fixing and polishing, eye brow tinting, pedicure etc...

 

 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Candidates will get two qualifications: Paragon skills and City and Guilds.

Level 2 Hair professional certificate. 

Level 2 Beauty professional certificate. 

City and Guilds-Diploma Hair professional. 

City and Guilds-Diploma Beauty professional. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Acquire skills to be self-employed and manage own business.

Possibility to be employed by Almant hair and beauty salon.
