What will the apprentice be doing?

What will you be doing?

You will be the first point of contact to our customers, receive and agree instructions, and translate into work orders for the Workshop and do this in an efficient, professional and promptly deal with all customers enquires at the desk and on the telephone.


Co-ordinate work order progress and priority with workshop supervision to meet customers expectations. Support of service administration areas for holiday and sickness cover.


Ensure that the planned number of available hours are pre-booked within requirements.


Liaise with Credit Control staff reference credit account customers.


Key Accountabilities


  • To liaise with customers both face-to-face and by telephone, understand their requirements, interpret them and advise if and when we are capable of satisfying them.
  • Maintain Service/MOT Planners and Workshop Loading, advising customers and workshop when vehicles are due in and completed.
  • Book in work load within our capability to manage.
  • Responsible for the receipt of and handover back of customer vehicles, assisting in the collection or delivery of customer vehicles where necessary.
  • Keep customers up to date with the status of their vehicles and any further actions or costs required; gaining authority where necessary.
  • Co-ordination of DAFaid and product recalls and updates ensuring compliance.
  • Housekeeping of the Service Reception area.
  • To adhere to Group Health & Safety and Environmental Policy at all times.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Customer Service Practitioner Level 2.

This apprenticeship programme is delivered with a blended learning approach and includes a mixture of onsite tutor visits and online tutor led sessions. All delivery is completed in the workplace and you will not need to attend any off-site training.
