The QA Apprentice will support the Quality Team to ensure that the daily laboratory operations and quality control checks are undertaken to required standards, and in a timely manner.

What will the apprentice be doing?
To collect and test samples from the works ready for testing
Book in for tests ensuring sizes and tests required are entered
Ensure samples are sawn off to standard length and centre drill samples
Ensure machine samples are carried out to size depending on the starting diameter
Book in and prepare tests for external testing
Undertake Tensile Testing
Undertake Impact Testing
Undertake Hardness Testing
Assist and support other areas that have quality issues, where directed by Line Manager or Management
Carry out routine tasks such as calibration and general housekeeping
Ensure all issues are reported to the QA Technician / Quality Manager in an urgent timescale
Assist daily QA operations / NDT operations if required

Engineering Technician (Technical Support) Level 3 standard
