What will the apprentice be doing?

• Setting up and closing down the kitchen
• Basic food preparation including salads, sandwiches, soups, stews and home baked cakes
• Completing stock takes, dealing with deliveries and food rotation
• Completing daily paperwork
• Working to hygiene and allergen standards
• Undertaking daily cleaning schedules
• As an apprentice you will be working ‘hands on’ in the kitchen with the option to also assist with new menu items.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Intermediate Level 2 Apprentice Production Chef, including NVQ and functional skills maths and English. Work based learning.
