What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Answering customer calls and responding to tickets
  • Triaging support requests and identifying the cause and resolution
  • Speaking and liaising with customer representatives and technically minded people
  • Configuring customer instances of the product to resolve configuration related problems and providing product configuration support
  • Being part of the 24/7/365 support provision
  • Liaising and working with our hosting infrastructure providers Rackspace and AWS to raise and resolve problems
  • Testing ticket resolution before reporting back to customers
  • Following ‘run-books’ to achieve problem resolution relating to infrastructure and operations
  • Escalating problems to senior management where appropriate
  • Formulating and implementing ideas for improving service provision and efficiencies
  • Enabling customers to best use our products through guidance, knowledge sharing, training
  • Maintaining high levels of knowledge on our product and the features it has and how it is used
  • Maintaining a close awareness of our IT and hosting infrastructure
  • Managing escalations with third party suppliers
  • Demonstrate an understanding of GDPR and information security risks and an adherence to information security best practices.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

  • Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
  • Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
  • Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
  • Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
  • Support the information systems needs for your business.
