What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties will include but not limited to: 

  • Working safely in line with the Health and Safety policy.
  • Drainage – trenching and backfill.
  • Oversites.
  • Brickwork.
  • Patios and paving.
  • Oversites – Milbank or conventional.
  • Ductworks.
  • Demolition.
  • Excavations and reinstatement.
  • Setting out.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The apprentice will be working towards the Groundworker Level 2 apprenticeship standard.
  • All delivered within the work place via online training and at Colchester Institute Campus.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Progression within the company and possible progression to lead in groundworks across several sites.

Our projects range from minor alterations/home improvements to new builds, complex restoration works and redevelopments. We deal with both domestic and commercial properties. The majority of our work is based in Essex, Herts, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. Our 22 strong workforce have many years of experience within the building industry, specialising in refurbishment and heritage works.
