What will the apprentice be doing?

Assisting in the servicing, repair, and fault diagnostic of Piling Rigs, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, mechanical systems and electrics.

Accompanying the mobile maintenance engineers assisting them while working on equipment in a construction site environment.

Assembly of bespoke piling rigs and equipment, working to specifications and drawings. Testing and evaluating the design.

Working with the senior fabricator on welding and fabrication projects, either repairing or making new.

Documenting work carried out for service records and sourcing new parts

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Maintenance & Operations apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills if required.

You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession. You will experience a blended learning model. You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.

At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.
