What will the apprentice be doing?
Seeing a design through a full lifecycle, from sketch, design, fabrication, and assembly and operation.
Using investigative skills to create designs or improve existing. Creating 3D models and 2D drawings / schematics to support your design.
Producing calculation documents that are used to prove the design is safe and fit for purpose. Making use of hand calculations, excel and FEA applications
Producing site logistical models and animations from the 3D models that are used to visualise how the piling operation will be carried out
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard – Pathway 13
You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession. You will experience a blended learning model. You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.
At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.
