What will the apprentice be doing?

- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails.
- Responding enquiries to maintain excellent customer service
- Resolve customer issues in a timely manner
- Contact customers with updates on their orders and deliveries
- Liaise with Couriers ensuring customer expectations are met
- Data entry as requested by senior team members
- Learn about our products and services.
- Learn how to operate professionally in a Sales environment.
- Dealing with clients in person at our trade counter.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be expected to work towards the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.

As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment, you may be required to complete maths and English Functional Skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion you will be awarded additional certificates of recognition for these qualifications.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A successful apprentice may well be offered a full time role at SGS Engineering (UK) Ltd. If that is not the case, they will have matured personally and professionally and acquired skills that will make them successful in a future career in an e-commerce business.
