What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assist in provision of appropriate administrative systems to support the work of our teams  and offer appropriate support.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filings systems as required.

  • Provide administrative support to Turner Home departments on a rotation basis as part of the apprenticeship training scheme, including (but not limited to): o providing a high quality service to our customers and to internal colleagues and visitors to our offices;

  • Assisting with the organisation of meetings

  • Assist with marketing and promotional activities via social media (LinkedIn) and other marketing channels.

  • Communicate as required with the college assessor and complete all Training/assessment requirements in accordance with the apprenticeship framework

  • Provide 1 to 1 support to our teams around using technology e.g. laptops, Ipads/tablets as well as building confidence in using Microsoft Office software 

  • Provide training and motivation for individuals to develop their knowledge and skills about e.g. records keeping.

  • Support team managers and support workers in embedding new software e.g. Client Management System


What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The succsessful candidate will be working towards a Business Administration Level 3 Qualification, with training delivered on the job via monthly sessions with an assessor from The Learning Foundry.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

With experience, you could progress from business apprentice move into other departments, like HR, payroll or accounting. With further training, you could specialise in an area like legal, financial or medical administration, become a personal assistant.
