What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Read, understand and verify commercial paperwork for customs purposes
  • Raise job files (identify job type, importer, exporter and client)
  • Transmission of safety & security declarations
  • Completion of basic customs import and export entries
  • Answering the phone and responding to customer enquiries
  • Monitoring inbox and replying by email to clients
  • Responding to requests in a timely manner
  • Invoicing and file closure

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Our Level 3 qualification will cover 6 modules that will provide the training for participants to develop excellent professionalism and interpersonal skills to support the aims, values and vision of an organisation. The training will be delivered either online via Teams or in person at our learning centre by our industry experts enabling the learner to work towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification. The entry requirement for this apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at Grade C (4) or higher.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This qualification will prepare you for employment as a Business Administrator. Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you may consider higher apprenticeships or additional professional qualifications and training.
