What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Set up and maintain the company's network and infrastructure.
  • Monitoring network security and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with other colleagues.
  • Monitoring and implementing IT Security policies as agreed with the IT manager.
  • To be able to deal with a demanding workload which may include conflicting demands on time.
  • To be able to work on your own initiative and as a team member.
  • To be able to create system processes where needed.
  • To be able to create logs for all company assets e.g., work mobile phones.
  • To be able to create and maintain work documentation to an acceptable standard.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
  • Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
  • Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance.
  • Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
  • Support the information systems needs for your business.
