What will the apprentice be doing?
· Assistance to solicitors and office manager
· Provide kind, courteous communication while receiving visitors to our office
· Provide excellent customer service while answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls
· Schedule and confirm appointments via phone, email and schedulers
· Receive, sort and process daily mail
· Manage intake of potential clients with attention to detail for information while providing empathetic communication skills
· Provide assistance to legal team by preparing draft correspondence and other assistance to paralegals and lawyers
· Enter case information into web-based case management system
· Maintain reception area and set up rooms for meetings
· Provide efficiency in other clerical receptionist duties such as filing (mainly electronically), photocopying, scanning and processing documents
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will attend York College on a day release basis, where you will work towards developing knowledge, skills and behaviours. At work you will consolidate the on-programme learning with the support of the employer. An assessor will visit every 8-10 weeks to discuss and monitor progress on the apprenticeship in conjunction with the employer.
At college you will study skills in the use of multiple IT packages and systems in order to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes and record and analyse data.
At the end of the apprenticeship, the qualification awared is Business Administrator Apprenticeship Level 3.
