What will the apprentice be doing?

·         Answer the phone and record enquires

·         Assist in the warehouse in order to learn products and services

·         Respond to domestic customers email and phone enquires

·         Help identify parts for the workshop

·         Chase parts by calling suppliers

·         Respond to commercial customers email and phone enquires

·         Start to build relationships with commercial customers and ensure that they are getting the correct level of service.

Things to consider

You will need to ensure that you can travel to the workplace each day as well as a monthly session at Telford College. You will also need to be able to commit to 14 months on the qualification and be aware of the commitment and reliability that needs from day 1.

About the employer

Oakleys is a dynamic family run business that focuses on selling and maintaining both garden and commercial groundcare machinery, as well as electric vehicles. We employ 22 members of staff who manage spare parts, service (engineers), sales staff and admin. Our growing spare parts department is in need of an extra pair of hands to deal with the work load. We are looking for someone who can work well in a team, deal with pressure, and who are technically minded. The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying the correct spare part using exploded diagrams. As well as work with suppliers in order to make that the part arrives on time. You will also need to build relationships with our customers and provide them with a good service.
