What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Read & interpret data & documentation used to maintain components, equipment, & systems.
  • Carry out condition monitoring of plant and equipment.
  • Carry out planned maintenance activities on plant & equipment.
  • Carry out complex fault diagnosis & repair activities on high technology engineered systems.
  • Maintaining mechanical equipment.
  • Maintaining fluid & pneumatic power equipment.
  • Maintaining electrical & electronic equipment.
  • Maintaining process control equipment.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Apprentices will be required to attend college at least x 2 days per week for the first 12 / 18 months at Uxbridge Campus completing necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship.

Our Account Manager, tutors, industry-trained assessor and Learning Advocate will support apprentices to deliver our high-quality training programmes.

The apprentice will be required to complete:

  • Work towards gaining a full Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Apprenticeship.
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours.
  • Standard and End Point Assessment.
  • Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT (if required).

Things to consider

You must not have done a Level 3 Engineering course full time in MECHATRONICS at a college or training provider – apprenticeship rules mean that we cannot take an ex full time learner in MECHATRONICS on to an apprenticeship because you will have done at least 50%+ of the learning & we cannot gain funding from the Governments Skills Funding Agency
