    We work various shift patterns and these have increased pay. We also pay overtime if extra hours are worked. Please note, there is flexibility regarding the starting date of the role. This will be discussed with candidates during interview.

    You will work a 37.5-hour week, usually 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch. We can be flexible if, for example, travelling is easier at different times.

What will the apprentice be doing?

We will let you move around all of the areas and decide together where you can spend time to develop particular skills. You will:

·         Learn how to run the equipment

·         Shadow and work alongside the operators running everyday equipment

·         Work across the four different types of binding we offer and get involved in a variety of steps and processes

·         be assigned a mentor to look after you throughout your training

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

At the end of the apprenticeship the qualification gained will be a Print Technician Level 3 Standard.

The Apprentice will be given one day a week at work to work on their Off the Job requirement of the Apprenticeship at Henry Ling Ltd.

The Apprentice will be allocated a dedicated BPIF Training Co-Ordinator.  Training will be delivered through a combination of remote and face to face learning. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We intend to offer you a full-time permanent job at the end of your apprenticeship, other apprentices we have had are still with us many years later. In addition, this opportunity allows you the chance to gain a recognised UK trade qualification.
