This is a full-time position and all training will be offered in line with the level 2 Commis Chef. We are offering a salary dependent on experience, paying by the hour worked.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Food preparation
  • Assisting the chef during service with plate set-ups, starters, salads, mains etc.
  • Kitchen clean down after service
    Experience of a catering kitchen is preferable, someone undertaking catering qualifications will also be considered
  • Stock check

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Commis Chef L2 standard.  Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We are always on the lookout for the right employees who meet the high standards we require. The successful apprentice will undoubtedly be considered for full time employment at the end of their apprenticeship.
