Teaching Assistant Apprentice Leicester Preparatory School
Leicester Preparatory School are looking for Teaching Assistant Apprentices to join their school and work within Year 3-6. The ideal candidates must have a passion to work with children, excellent communication skills and be highly professional at all times.

Pay will be reviewed by the headmistress as part of an annual appraisal
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
Total hours per week: 37.5

What will the apprentice be doing?
Work with children and be mentored by senior teaching team to develop skill set as a TA. Report to parents the daily activity of the children through a portal. Help and assist with playground duties
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
L3 Apprenticeship Standard in Teaching Assistant
Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths (if required)
End-Point Assessment (EPA):
- Portfolio based interview
- Practical observation
- Every other week (Friday PM)
- Online portfolio to update with learning and development completed onsite
- Diarised visits from dedicated Trainer/Assessor
- Attendance to Loughborough College for Functional Skills (if required)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Potential opportunity for a permanent role within the school following successful completion of the apprenticeship. Could progress onto higher Teaching Assistant Qualifications.
