What will the apprentice be doing?

  • The apprentice will be working alongside the Business Support Manager to assist with Customer Service, Processing, Logistics, Purchasing and General Administrative Tasks
  • Having the chance to experience the business account process.
  • The Apprentice will also give the responsibility of organising and managing a project within the business including advertising, promoting, and selling the company products through an online selling platform. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Business Administrator L3 standard. Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.  

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Permanent position within the business support function, then internal development and possible promotion opportunities within the business. There certainly would be the opportunity to gain wider skills throughout the whole functional process. A lot to add to a CV!

You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. You will be required to have a telephone interview with Yeovil College prior to your application being passed on. If a suitable candidate is found prior to the advertised closing date, it may close earlier so please apply early to avoid disappointment. Due to location, own transport is essential.
