What will the apprentice be doing?

The role will be office based and is to support the claims department and to provide professional insurance services to our clients at the time they need support the most.

A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential as you will be working in a highly regulated industry. 

The role will consist of the following tasks:

  • Building relationships with both customers and insurers is of high importance
  • Use of Microsoft applications and bespoke industry IT systems
  • Speaking with both clients and insurers on the telephone
  • The correct candidate will be able to work unsupervised to meet agreed timescales and be able to organise their tasks efficiently
  • Issuing letters/emails to clients and insurers
  • Taking telephone calls from clients and insurers
  • Using a diary system
  • Building client relationships

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Insurance Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

Level 2 functional skills in maths and English (if required)
End-Point Assessment (EPA)
Certificate in Insurance (CII)
The programme will consist of the following:

  • Learning and development programme that includes the CertCII (typically IF1, IF2 & IF4)
  • Develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of successful Insurance Practitioners
  • Free CII membership for non-members through the CII Aspire Apprenticeship Programme
  • Includes the CII study books and exam entries
  • Fortnightly workshops for each IF exam from our CII approved trainer
  • All workshops recorded and available on-demand
  • Interactive chat, forums and class notebooks for real time support and assistance from experienced and qualified insurance professionals
  • Exam tips, tricks, and strategies
  • Regular tutorials and assessments with your dedicated trainer 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
