What will the apprentice be doing?

Machinists in the Engineering sector are predominantly involved in highly skilled & precision work, machining components from specialist materials using conventional &/or CNC machine tools such as centre lathes, vertical & horizontal milling machines, horizontal & cylindrical grinding machines, electro discharge machines, single & multi-axis CNC machine tools centres.  You'll be expected to be able set up, operate & adjust/edit equipment settings as applicable to the machine tool being used.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

* L2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing (Foundation Competence)
* L2 Diploma in Machining (Foundation Knowledge)
* L3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competencies) Machining
* L3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)

Delivery of Course -
* Full time at Training 2000 OR x6 four week blocks in Year 1
* 1 day per week at Training 2000 in Year 2
* Assessment in your workplace in Year 3/4
