Opportunity for an Engineer Apprentice to join our team at QMS! You will receive on the job training and day release to Loughborough College to achieve a recognised qualification. You will be expected to learn the procedures and techniques required of a Final Assembly Engineer by working with and under the guidance of an experienced engineer.

What will the apprentice be doing?
You will learn how to:
- Assemble crushing plant (crushers, screens, conveyors, oil tanks, MVU) as per technical specifications.
- Clear and build crushers and/or crushing plant.
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings.
- Test run and verify products to given instructions, meeting quality standards.
- Identify any faults, diagnose and resolve them.
- Ensure all assembled components meet company quality standards.
- Prepare parts for shipment.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Qualifications:
- L3 Apprenticeships Standard in Engineering Fitter
- L3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Technical Knowledge)
- L2 Diploma in Engineering Operations (Skills)
Delivery Method:
Currently delivered one day per week (Term Time Only) at Loughborough College.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
You could become either a Final Assembly Engineer or Service Engineer. QMS has had much success in the recruitment and retention of apprentices across the business.
