What will the apprentice be doing?

The role is demanding as the successful applicant will be working on a range of vehicles while learning their trade to a nationally recognised standard.  This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking person.

The typical tasks you will carry out are:

Vehicle servicing
Heavy Vehicle repairs
Suspension repairs
Brake inspections and repairs
Safety inspection
General maintenance of Heavy Vehicles

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Training is delivered in the workplace and via seven weekly college blocks per year at S&B Automotive Academy, you will be assigned a mentor who will offer support, advice, and guidance by monitoring progress using e-logbook which you will have access to 24/7 365 days a week

As a result, you will receive the following qualification:
Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Standard
Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths & English (if not already exempt)
