Salaries are reviewed as the apprentice progresses on-programme. Once an completes their apprenticeship, they can expect to earn upwards of £25,000 per annum depending on their skill set.

Workplace hours are Monday – Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm (breaks provided) 1st six months 4 days college/ 1 in workplace. Then 3 days college/2days workplace. Into years 2-3 1 day college/4 days workplace.

What will the apprentice be doing?
With close mentoring support, you will be required to support the manufacture of precision products for both internal and external customers. Being part of a progressing company striving to develop its processes and practices to a higher standard while utilising some of the latest machinery in manufacturing our futures.
- CNC turning, milling machines, grinders
- Fit and assemble components including the use of hand tools
- Measurement and inspection techniques using a variety of metrology equipment.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Mentorship and training will be provided by the Machined Components Manager and other qualified CNC Miller Programmers.
This is an Advanced Apprenticeship, working in a manufacturing site in Stonehill Huntingdon, where the Company will train you to be a competent CNC Machinist and also gain wider engineering craft skills over a 42 month period. It will involve attending college weekly during term time and with regular assessments conducted by the College.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
For the right person, there may be a full time position available on successful completion of this Apprenticeship and career progression opportunities will also be possible.
