What will the apprentice be doing?

As an apprentice your role is to undertake tasks associated to the legal process of selling, purchasing and remortgaging property. You will provide support to property lawyers within the firm.

Duties will include

  • General office duties
  • Corresponding my phone, letter and email
  • Drafting documents
  • Reporting on advising on legal aspects of a conveyancing transaction
  • Have a clear understanding of the role of the Land Registry and other third parties including other law firms and mortgage lenders

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Paralegal Level 3 standard:

Level 3 Diploma in Providing Legal Services
Functional Skills level 2 in maths, English and ICT

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The company has a clear structure for professional development.
Upon completion of the apprenticeship there is an opportunity to progress and become responsible for a caseload where you will be responsible for running files and managing clients.
Long term prospects could be to qualify as a property lawyer and further managerial roles within the firm.
