What will the apprentice be doing?

  • General admin duties: answering phone, emails, greeting studenst & visitors into office, signing visitors in & out and dealing with queries, photocopying and post.
  • Using Microsoft to make documents and spreadsheets for use with admin tasks.
  • Use school electronic systems to support with admin.
  • Provide admin support to staff.
  • Help with Communication & Administration Officer with updating website & other communication channels etc.
  • Assisting with events e.g. school photos, pupil immunisations etc.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
  • Maths & English level 2 if not already achieved.
  • Appts with apprentice, employer & provider, observations of workplace as well as gathering evidence.
  • Undertake self-assessment in last month of apprenticeship. The self-assessment must be submitted to the end point assessor as a source of evidence to prepare for End Point Assessment which will include a showcase portfolio; a project, employer reference & interview about the portfolio and project.
