What will the apprentice be doing?
You will interact and empathise with our customers through your time working front of house.
You will represent the voice of the customer to advise our management team on issues such as marketing, strategy, and service design.

- Supporting with marketing the business
- Learn all aspects of the day to day running of a busy restaurant.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
TheLightBulb will deliver the Level 2 Customer Service Practitoner Apprenticeship Standard.
You will attend 4 workshops remotely via Zoom
To include Functional Skills in maths and English if required
In-house training will be given to support specifics of the role
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We provide you the opportunity for you learn to become one of the following (dependent on your strengths and aspirations):
Head Barman or Front of house supervisor in our new franchise restaurant with the aim of aspiring to assistant manager then general manager.
Assistant manager in our current Smokey’s Meat Shack restaurant (smaller restaurant with more diverse work).
Marketing coordinator for the Smokey’s Meat Shack brand working towards becoming brand manager.
Customer manager for a healthy food brand that we also own. It was this brand that Smokey’s Meat Shack’s director was trained in before co-founding Smokey’s Meat Shack. This is a hard role but a great training ground to demonstrate managerial and entrepreneurial capacity to us and our investors.
