We are looking for someone who is not afraid to chat…. Chatting to our clients helps to keep them comfortable and at ease. Our receptionists perform a vital part of our service and we’d like to welcome a new addition to our team.

The apprentice will have a 3, 6 and 9 month review where performance and pay will be reviewed. The practice also participates in a bonus scheme for the number of new patients welcomed. The apprentice will be included in this bonus potential.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

What will the apprentice be doing?
Meeting and greeting patients.
Chatting to patients whilst they register/wait.
Offering refreshments (when appropriate).
Booking patients in and out on the electronic system.
Answering the telephone.
Sending emails and letters.
General admin related to the reception desk.
Using an online booking system and various other software to complete duties.
General housekeeping to ensure reception always looks tidy and welcoming.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills if required.
You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession. You will experience a blended learning model. You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.
At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon conclusion of this apprenticeship, it is hoped that you will remain part of the team permanently. We are committed to helping people to reach their potential and providing career development opportunities along the way to support this. This might mean using higher level programmes to help you to develop or using other training methods to help you to reach your goals.
