What will the apprentice be doing?
- Supporting manufacturing and engineering support & development of products associates with Malvern Panalytical through R&D work.
Use Solid Edge and other related CAD systems to create drawing packages to assist with design functions for the business
Depending on Candidate interests identified late in apprenticeship program, the role could take on either electrical or mechanical engineering design biases
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Year 1: At HWGTA training centre Foundation competence in Bench fitting, 3D AutoCAD, Mechanical maintenance, Electrical wire and testing, Electronics, option of a machining unit to reinforce craft skills and manufacturing knowledge.
Complete first year of AME3 (Development Knowledge) qualification - one day per week based at HWGTA.
Year 2: 4 days per week in company 1 day at HWGTA.
One day per week at HWGTA
Year 3 – 4 :Complete Level 3 diploma
Complete Engineering Technician Standard
