What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Typically responsible for leading and supporting other practitioners
  • To work as part of the school team to provide a safe, high quality early years environment for young children.
  • To work under the direct guidance of teaching staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
  • Monitor pupils' responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed.

About the employer

We are a small nursery providing a home from home environment. Our greatest asset is our largest outdoor area. We are registered for only 32 children. Each age group have a very limited number of children. Our curriculum is based on our children's needs, interests and capabilities. Inspired by Reggio Emilia's approach, we allow children to find their own strengths and resilience by allowing them to learn through play.
