What will the apprentice be doing?

  • To work as part of a friendly, hard working team.
  • To assist in promoting the dignity and self awareness of residents
  • To build relationships with the residents.
  • To work within the organisation’s structured rotas, which may include evening and weekend shifts
  • To undertake the domestic tasks identified in the schedule of duties, and any other reasonable tasks given.  These will include amongst others, supporting residents at appointments, facilitating activities at home and outside in the community.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenitceship Standard

This is a work-based qualification although you may be required to attend College for functional skills.
