As an Acorn Apprentice, you will earn £8.00p/h and will receive ongoing support from our Training and Development Manager, 4 Apprenticeship Workshop days per year which are jam packed with training opportunities to support your qualification, a dedicated mentor within your nursery setting and 4 companywide training days per year!

What will the apprentice be doing?

At Acorn, our apprentices are an integral part of our nursery teams. You will hit the ground running in your Early Years career, whilst being supported and nurtured along the way. 

  • Be a creative and inspirational role model for our children
  • Learn how to deliver a holistic approach to the curriculum, ensuring the environment offers rich, first-hand learning opportunities for all children.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Upon joining Acorn, you will recieve a face-face induction workshop which includes meeting our CEO and recieving training on Safeguarding and Health and Safety practices. You will have a tailored induction in your nursery setting. 

You will have a 1-1 meeting with our Training and Development Manager to give you a full breakdown of your Apprenticeship and an opportunity to answer any questions. 

Your training will be delivered by The Childcare Company, where you will have a dedicated tutor who will meet with you every 6 weeks online. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

At Acorn, we offer fantastic career development opportunities. After you complete your Level 3 qualification, you will become an Early Years Practitioner.

We have a wide range of 'additional roles' that you can undertake to support you in your career development, such as becoming an Eco-Rep, Acorn Mentor or Mental Health First Aider.

Progressing into Senior, Deputy and even manager roles is simple with Acorn and we are there to support you in doing so.
