    Working hours are 9.00-5.30, finishing at 5.00 on a Friday (1 hour lunch). However, Reception is open from 8.00 a.m. until 6.00 p.m. every day and there will be a requirement, on occasions, to start work at 8.00 a.m. or finish work at 6.00 p.m.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties will include;

  • Runs the post desk, dealing with incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
  • Manages stationery stock.
  • Runs errands in the town centre.
  • Provides cover on reception at lunchtime and beginning/end of day and during holiday/sickness absence.
  • Maintains and monitors file archiving databases and undertakes associated administration duties including arranging for files to be collected or retrieved from storage as required.
  • Undertakes general administration duties.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Business Administrator Standard, which includes:

  • Functional Skills Level 2 in maths and English if required 
  • Excellent Work Experience 
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
  • You will be assigned a personal tutor to help guide you through your apprenticeship and your training will be 100% completed in the workplace
  • Business Administrator Apprenticeship Certificate from the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE).

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A full time position is available upon successful completion of the apprenticeships. The salary is yet to be confirmed.
