    Minimum Annual Salary: £6817.2 £8.97 to £11.20 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience, includes holiday pay at 12.07%). Applicants may have the opportunity to boost earnings outside of term time by working at our Holiday Clubs.

    20 hours a week. Monday to Friday. 7.45am - 8:45am and 3pm - 6pm. Term time only.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Day to day tasks will include: 

  • Working with playworkers and the Club Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the clubs.
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of activities that meet the children's interests, including crafts, sports and more.
  • Preparing nutritional breakfasts, snacks and light afternoon teas. 
  • Promoting positive behaviour within the club.
  • Having a commitment to safeguarding and creating a safe and nurturing environment for the children. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

By completing this apprenticeship the applicant will receive an Early Years Educator Level 3 National Diploma.

Training will be completed whilst working 20 hours a week at our Breakfast and After School Club located at Loddon Primary School. 

Training time is included within paid hours and apprentices will be allocated time to attend learning sessions via Zoom (every 2 weeks) and study/complete any written work. 


What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

With this qualification, the apprentice could further their career within the childcare and education sectors. Possible future roles could include Playworker, Teaching Assistant, Early Years Practitioner, Holiday Camp/Wrap Around Care Club Supervisor etc.
