What will the apprentice be doing?

With support and supervision you will be:

  • Keeping up to date with day-to-day administration such as emails, phone calls, taking meeting minutes and organising folders.
  • Keeping the student management system up to date.
  • Supporting operations officer with operations around a student’s arrival and reporting any safeguarding issues.
  • Keeping up to date records of all student communications, host-family changes, student term dates, accommodation arrangements, student details and parent communications. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

In addition to the on the job training which will make up 80% of your job you will receive 20% off the job training to support the role and develop your personal and professional skills. This will be delivered by the employer and Skills & Learning and will mostly take place in the workplace. Online learning modules and workshops will also help you develop the underpinning knowledge required for the job role. You will work towards achievement of the Level 3 Business Admin Standard. DBS.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We would hope to offer a permanent post on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
