What will the apprentice be doing?
Day to day duties typically involve:
- Providing technical services to customers
- Diagnosing/solving hardware/software and technical faults
- To build/install/configure/upgrade new and existing IT hardware/software
- Provide remote support either via phone or VPN
- To undertake back up client system monitoring
- Tending the service desk liaising with walk-in customers, deliveries/suppliers and booking in work for the workshop
- Responsible for ordering/checking stock and deliveries in/out
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
During your Apprenticeship you will paired up with your Mentor who will teach you all things IT with a hands on approach. The qualification you will be training for is the Information Communications Technician Level 3. All modules are either trainer-led remote training sessions or self-paced distance learning via VLE or by way of a weekly day release to a designated training provider.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
