Job Role 

  • Contacting schools on a daily basis to facilitate the initial and ongoing support of a secure data transfer.
  • Working alongside our CPOMS implementation team to configure new build systems for schools in a timely manner.
  • 1st line software support for our schools.
  • Incident management and logging support calls for our schools.
  • Potential further down track to progress into a software development role (if desired).

  • Experience of customer focused work in either a face-to-face or telephony environment.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies quickly.

Qualifications required

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's A-C Grade (or equivalent qualifications) inluding English and Maths.
  • At least a Level 2 in ICT (BTEC, GCSE or equivalent) is essential.

Training provider

  • This is an Advanced Apprenticeship and will include an OCR Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence plus an OCR Level 3 Certificate in ICT Systems and Principles for IT Professionals.
  • PLTS and some learners may be required to achieve Functional Skills in Maths, English and IT at level 2.

From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
